The event was organised by the Indonesian Embassy in Nigeria in collaboration with the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) which witnessed in attendance no less than thirty (30) companies from Indonesia predominantly those in the Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), Agro allied industries, Oil & Gas, Energy & Power, Transportation, Tourism, Construction, Utilities, information technology, and Defense just to mention a few.
The event themed ” Making Nigeria as the trade-hub of West Africa” was well attended by the top dignitaries which included the Executive Governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki, Honorable Commissioner for Trade and Industry; Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye, the Honorable Commissioner for Trade in Oyo (Princess) Taibat Adeyemi-Agaba, the heads of Manufacturing Association of Nigeria (MAN), Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), trade associations and so many others. This event also witnessed the signing of MoU’s between Nigerian and Indonesian companies which in turn led to the increase in the bilateral trade and investment relationship between the two countries. The visiting Indonesian Minister of Trade, Mr Enggartiasto Lukita, enjoined the Nigerian business community to avail themselves of the opportunities in his country’s 32nd Trade Expo, in Jakarta, Indonesia.
