The Nigerian Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting stronger trade and investment relations between Nigeria and Indonesia through its active participation at the Food & Beverage West Africa (F&B WA) Exhibition 2026, held at the Landmark Centre, Lagos.
Leading the Chamber’s delegation to the opening ceremony were NICCI President, Mr. Ishmael Balogun, and members of the Chamber’s management team, who joined government officials, business leaders, and international exhibitors at Africa’s largest food and beverage trade exhibition.

The event provided a strategic platform for fostering business partnerships, expanding market access, and strengthening commercial ties between African and international businesses. A major highlight of the exhibition was the indonesian Pavilion, which showcased a wide range of Indonesian products, innovations, and investment opportunities to the Nigerian market.
The Pavilion was made possible through the support of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia and the Indonesian Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) Lagos, demonstrating Indonesia’s continued commitment to expanding its economic footprint in Nigeria and across West Africa.
The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of the Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria, alongside the Deputy Director of ITPC Lagos, who both engaged with exhibitors and stakeholders, reinforcing the importance of trade diplomacy and private-sector collaboration in strengthening bilateral economic relations.

During the exhibition, NICCI President, Mr. Ishmael Balogun, held cordial engagements with representatives of Indonesian businesses, government officials, and strategic partners, underscoring the Chamber’s role as a bridge between the Nigerian and Indonesian business communities. These interactions focused on identifying new opportunities for trade, investment, distributorship partnerships, and industrial collaboration.
The Indonesian Pavilion featured an impressive lineup of leading Indonesian and Indonesia-affiliated companies, including PT. Konimex, Mayora Nigeria, PT United Family Food (Unifam), Andersons Pharmaceutical Limited, PT. Charoen Pokphand Indonesia, Kalbe Farma Nigeria, Sidomuncul Nigeria, Otsuka (Pocari Sweat), Mensa Industries (Passion), and Forisa Nusa Persada.
The participation of these companies highlighted the growing strength of Nigeria–Indonesia commercial relations across key sectors such as food processing, consumer goods, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, manufacturing, and distribution.
Speaking on the significance of the exhibition, NICCI noted that platforms such as F&B West Africa remain critical for driving trade expansion, facilitating technology transfer, encouraging investment flows, and creating sustainable business partnerships between both countries. The Chamber further emphasized that strengthening private-sector engagement remains central to unlocking the immense economic potential that exists between Nigeria and Indonesia.

As preparations continue for the forthcoming Nigeria-Indonesia Investment and Trade Forum (NIITF) 2026, NICCI reiterated its commitment to creating impactful platforms that connect businesses, promote investment opportunities, and advance economic cooperation between both nations.
The Chamber also encouraged Nigerian businesses to leverage opportunities presented by Indonesian manufacturers and exporters through direct engagement, strategic partnerships, and participation in future bilateral trade initiatives.
Through its continued collaboration with the Indonesian Government, ITPC Lagos, the Indonesian Embassy, and the private sector, NICCI remains a trusted and reliable partner in fostering meaningful economic partnerships, facilitating cross-border investments, and strengthening the enduring relationship between Nigeria and Indonesia.
