Ambassador Usman Ari Ogah Board of Advisory
Ambassador Usman Ari Ogah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and has over three decades of extensive experience in international relations and diplomacy. He served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1993 until his retirement in January 2024.
During his illustrious career, Amb. Ogah rose to the position of Director and served as the Consul General of Nigeria to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. He has held several ambassadorial positions, including Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia and the Republic of Timor-Leste. Additionally, he represented Nigeria as the Ambassador to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). His diplomatic service also extended to postings in Paris, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Greece and Argentina.
Amb. Ogah’s vast experience in diplomacy, In addition to his strategic approach to peacebuilding, makes him an invaluable asset. His work is guided by a deep commitment to fostering sustainable peace through a whole-of-society approach, engaging diverse stakeholders to address the root causes of conflict. Happily married with children, Amb. Ogah’s life and career reflect a profound dedication to promoting peace and stability on a global scale.
