NICCI Commissions Committees, Appoints Committee Heads at Physical Meeting

The Nigerian Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) successfully held her Physical Committee Meeting on Friday, 6th February 2026, at the NICCI Headquarters.

The meeting brought together committee members for strategic engagement, collaboration, and alignment. It was convened to formally commission NICCI’s committees and appoint committee heads, marking a significant step toward strengthening the Chamber’s internal governance structure and operational effectiveness. In line with this objective, twelve (12) standing committees were inaugurated, namely: Finance & Fundraising, Communications, Energy/Oil & Gas, Commerce & Trade, Logistics & Courier, Creative Economy & Tourism, Membership, and Trade Missions & Planning.

Proceedings commenced with a welcome address by The president of The chamber, Mr. Ishmael Balogun, followed by committee sessions held according to their scheduled time slots. Each session provided a platform for member introductions, clarification of committee mandates, deliverables and focused discussions on priority objectives in line with NICCI’s mission to promote trade, investment and economic cooperation between Nigeria and Indonesia.

A major highlight of the meeting was the formal appointment of committee heads, who were charged with providing leadership, fostering collaboration, and driving impactful initiatives within their respective committees.

NICCI reaffirmed her commitment to inclusiveness, accountability and strategic partnership, emphasizing the central role of her committees in advancing the Chamber’s objectives and delivering value to her growing membership base.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with renewed commitment from members to actively support NICCI’s programmes and contribute meaningfully to strengthening Nigeria–Indonesia economic relations.
