The Nigerian–Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) participated in a Welcoming Reception for West African delegations ahead of the 41st Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI 2026), following an invitation from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Abuja.
The reception, held on 14 October 2026 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City, Tangerang, provided an opportunity to strengthen commercial ties between Indonesia and West African countries ahead of the international trade exhibition.

Hosted by the Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Bambang Suharto, the reception welcomed delegates and encouraged them to explore Indonesia’s business environment, establish commercial relationships and pursue mutually beneficial trade and investment opportunities.
According to media reports, the Ambassador disclosed that 101 participants from West Africa had arrived for TEI 2026, while memoranda of understanding reportedly valued at approximately US$10 million had been signed ahead of the exhibition’s official opening. These early developments underscored the potential for stronger business relations and expanded economic cooperation between Indonesia and the West African region.
NICCI’s participation reflects the Chamber’s continued commitment to strengthening Nigeria–Indonesia economic relations, facilitating business-to-business connections and supporting Nigerian enterprises seeking opportunities in international markets.

The reception marked an important opening engagement for the wider programme of activities at TEI 2026, highlighting the role of diplomatic relations and private-sector collaboration in building sustainable cross-border partnerships.
NICCI appreciates the continued engagement of the Indonesian Embassy in Nigeria and remains committed to connecting Nigerian and Indonesian businesses, fostering investment and advancing shared economic growth.
