Highlights from the Nigerian-Indonesian Investment and Trade Forum 2024
The 3rd edition of the Nigerian-Indonesian Investment and Trade Forum (NIITF) unfolded on September 4, 2024, at the luxurious Mulia Resort Bali, Indonesia, held alongside the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum. The event commenced with a networking tea break, allowing global participants to familiarize themselves.
Following the national anthems of both nations, Mr. Ishmael Balogun, President of the Chamber, gave the welcome address. This was followed by an insightful presentation from Prof. Salawudeen Bin Ahmed, Chairman of Signature Global Real Estate and Standard Trust Insurance, who outlined the global opportunities in insurance and their 40-year track record.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Yomi Benson, CEO of Sahara Energy Singapore PTE Ltd., highlighted the company’s expansive growth in commodities trading, upstream and downstream energy, and the vast potential in renewable energy. He shared lessons from Sahara’s rise to a global organization with over 6,000 staff members.
Mr. Ricky Rahardja, Chief Marketing Officer of Oxytane International Ltd., spoke next, presenting their achievements with Oxytane, the leading global fuel additive, and inviting partnerships from Nigerian distributors. This was followed by a presentation from Mr. Abdulazeez Salawudeen, CFO of Signature Global Real Estate, who outlined investment opportunities in Dubai’s real estate market and guided participants on achieving homeownership.
